Three happy long-term ladies, two much-loved cats, one beautiful home — and a room waiting for a happy-go-lucky housemate.
If you’ve watched our Supported Independent Living video, you’ve already seen this home shine. 10 Cortina Drive offers the best of both worlds: quick access to Ballarat’s CBD, with Delacombe Town Centre just 500m up the road for a coffee and cake at the local cafe. Right now there’s one room available — and three friendly women aged 40–60 who can’t wait to meet their new housemate. They’re a happy, settled household who love time together and quiet time alike, and they share the home with two adored cats: Liam, the house cat, and Bugalugs, who belongs to one of the residents.
The home itself is fully accessible and generous in every direction: four spacious bedrooms, two fully accessible bathrooms, a kitchen with adjustable bench-tops, and wheelchair-accessible outdoor areas. The “My Room” space doubles as an indoor-outdoor room, so you can soak up the Ballarat sunshine in winter and the fresh air in summer. Designed to Platinum level under the Livable Housing Design Guidelines and Fully Accessible under the NDIS, with provisions for ceiling hoists, assistive technology and automatic doors — plus smart home technology throughout, in partnership with SDA Assistive Technologies, for extra independence and privacy. Fully furnished, with internet, food and bills all included in your rent. On-site support is there 24/7.

West End provides in-home support around the clock. All participants have equal input over support within the home, and you exercise your own choice and control over your West End support workers, choosing from a pool of staff.
Three happy long-term ladies, aged 40–60, are searching for a happy-go-lucky housemate. They enjoy a lovely balance — time together as a household, and their own quiet time — and Liam and Bugalugs the cats add warmth and companionship to the mix.
Residents meet weekly with the house manager to talk menus, household events, activities and anything about the home. Shared supports are mutually agreed between housemates.
Winter Valley is one of Ballarat's newest neighbourhoods, quiet streets, parks and walking tracks, with Delacombe Town Centre's shops, cafes and services a few minutes away. Our head office at Whitelaw Avenue is just around the corner, and the Activity & Leisure Centre at Bonshaw is a short drive, so the West End family is never far away.
